Birmingham Hi-Rise Towers

Currently on site in Birmingham working on a Hi-Rise tower block. Specialist UK were appointed by Engie along with Birmingham City Council to undertake full wall tie replacement on the building. Operatives are currently on site working from mast climbers.

Restoration Works at Leyland Fire Tower

SUKR were appointed as Principal Contractor to carry out restoration works to The Fire Tower in Leyland. The upper cills and roof area were in need of concrete repair due to spalling and damage. Sika 610 and 615 were used for the repair, along with the Sikagard 550W system to protect the newly restored concrete.  We were also helped by LIJ Fluid Power for the restoration of the railings and by Wirral Cladding and Roofing for the protective roof coating.

Reprofiling Works to Grade II Listed Building

Re-profiling works carried out on the Grade II Listed Middlesbrough Town Hall using Remmers hand-placed Restoration Mortar.

Concrete Repair Project Preston

Specialist UK Restorations were appointed as Principle Contractor for a large concrete repair project at The Unicentre in Preston.

This project consisted of various elements of work including Stonehealth DOFF cleaning, concrete repairs and protection using a Sika Ltd specification of Sika Monotop 610, 615, Sika Ferrogard 903, and Sikagard 552W and 550W

Due to the Unicentre Building being “high rise”, works were carried out via cradles attached to the tops of the building. After high winds and adverse weather causing a few difficulties on the cradles, work has now been completed to SUKR’s usual high standard.

Replacement of Defective Concrete Slab

Successful removal and replacement of a defective concrete floor slab at one of Kimberley-Clark’s live manufacturing/distribution facilities.

The existing slab was broken up, then prepped with steel reinforcement and shuttering, before new concrete was poured to form a new slab.

Resin Injection Works Using Sikadur 52

SUKR were appointed to carry out resin injection works using Sika Ltd – Sikadur 52 Low Viscosity Crack Injection System to a concrete structure on the River Thames, London.

Stonehealth Doff Cleaning at Mocatta House, Brighton

During and after shots of one of our specialist teams cleaning the facade at Mocatta House in Brighton using our Stonehealth Doff Cleaning Machine. After shots show the clean and crisp finish this system provides to leave a ‘like new’ finish.

Sika Premium Balcony System

Ongoing works at Hawthorne Flats, Bootle.

Existing defective screed and tiles removed, concrete substrate mechanically prepared to 2 stairs and communal areas in preparation to receive Sika Hardtop 80 finished with Sika Pronto non slip system.

Facade Cleaning Works in Progress

One of SUKR’s on-going projects is to a beautiful historic building belonging to Central Manchester’s University. Our scope of works includes stone repairs, rake out/ re-pointing and Doff cleaning to remove algal and carbonation staining. The building will have a new, fresh look facade once complete
