Wardley Hall, Worsley

Specialist UK Restorations were appointed to undertake structural stabilisation works at Grade II listed Wardley Hall, the official residence of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Salford.

Following investigations identifying subsidence caused by historic ground conditions over a backfilled moat, Specialist UK Restorations installed Helifix Micro-Piles to stabilise the bay window and adjoining courtyard wall. Works included controlled excavation, localised underpinning adjustments, and installation of micro-piles designed to transfer loads to stable ground.

All works were completed with sensitivity to the building’s heritage setting, ensuring long-term structural stability while preserving its historic fabric.
