Specialist UK Restorations were appointed by City of Doncaster Council to deliver specialist stone restoration and façade cleaning works as part of the multi-million pound refurbishment of the Grade II listed Doncaster Corn Exchange.
Using heritage-approved lime-based mortars, Specialist UK Restorations carried out detailed stone repairs and profiling, carefully colour-matched and textured to replicate the original Victorian detailing. The building’s façade was also cleaned using the DOFF Integra steam cleaning system, effectively removing moss, fungi, and atmospheric soiling without damaging the stonework.
The project successfully restored the Corn Exchange’s architectural integrity and historic character, ensuring its preservation for future generations.
