Specialist UK Restorations were appointed by AMCO to carry out masonry restoration works on the Grade II listed Saltburn Viaduct in North Yorkshire.
Constructed in the late 19th century, the 11-span brick and stone viaduct required extensive repairs to address spalling brickwork, open joints, and structural cracking. Works included re-casing over 640m² of defective masonry, crack stitching and resin injection, and lime repointing in accordance with Network Rail Standard Details.
All works were delivered within a tight programme, coordinated around complex scaffold arrangements, restoring the viaduct’s structural integrity and historic character.
